How to post pictures
If you need some help figuring out how to add pictures to your post, hopefully this thread covers it.
We do have some bandwidth on this forum for uploading photos, but since this is a free forum there isn't a lot of bandwidth. So you will need to upload your photos elsewhere before posting here.
Here's how to do it.
Step 1. Pick a photo you'd like to post. If it's just sitting on your computer then go to a image hosting website of your choice or use http://postimage.org
Step 2. Click "browse" and select the photo you want to upload. If your photo is LARGE (as in you haven't resized it since taking the photo) you might want to use the resize feature it gives you. It has an option to resize it suitable for message boards. This resizing is up to you but be aware if the admin decides your photos are too big we may remove your post or ask you to resize the photos.
Step 3. Once you have selected your photo and decided whether you want to resize it, click "Upload".
Step 4. Once your photo has been uploaded you will be given a bunch of different links and codes. Copy the "Direct Link" like in the example below.
Step 5. Now that you have your URL (or direct link to photo) you'll want to post this picture on the forum. To do that, when you're writing a post here you need to click the "insert an image" button. Picture below. Past your URL into the right field and click "insert"
It will come up looking like this: [ img ] your URL here [ /img ]
You can click "Preview" before posting if you're unsure how your image will look. When you're happy with how it looks, you can make your post
If your photos are on Facebook already, you don't need to upload the photos again. Here's how to do it if your photo is on Facbeook:
Step 1. Right click the photo you want to post and then click "Copy Image URL". There you go, you've got your URL. Now use step 5 and you're all set.
You can post multiple photos in your posts but try to keep each individual post to no more than 5 photos.
